Let’s ask the question…where did this all start?

Lucas Schoening is a Colorado-born artist, starting his mark in Peyton, Colorado, making his way as an artist in the Midwest. In 2007, Lucas showed signs of artistic talent. Looking at comics and online animations for inspiration on YouTube and Newgrounds. After moving from Colorado Springs to Glenwood, Iowa in 2013, Lucas started to focus his interest on the world of artistry, ranging from illustration and painting to utilizing modern digital programs such as Procreate. Lucas has also explored the world of 3D, with clay sculptures and Blender programs. After graduating from Glenwood High School, Lucas continued his school career, earning his Associate’s in Fine Arts at Iowa Western Community College in 2023. Lucas has made successful ventures with his work close to the end of his college career, appearing in on-campus exhibitions and earning high monetary scholarships within just 2 years of attending. With additional funding, Lucas continued his studies at the University of Nebraska Omaha, finishing with his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in 2025. Lucas continues to put himself in the world of art, experimenting and educating himself with new ideas residing either at his desk or his garage, preparing for exhibits such as the “Solace in Painting” exhibit and offering items for purchase in Downtown Omaha’s Hot Shop starting on December 6th.
